Shitaladevi – One of the famous and ancient seven deities of Chaul. This ancient temple is still very famous situated at a distance of about 2 km from Chaul Square. The temple was restored in 1759. The Angre family had great faith in this goddess.

Earlier Shitaladevi temple was old wooden and  with slanting roof with clay tiles. Around 1990 this temple was built with cement concrete. The main entrance is facing east and there is one entrance each on south and north side. There is a culmination at the main entrance and the assembly hall. The idol of the goddess is in the original place in the core. There is a column of lamps built in Stone in front of the temple. And there is also an ancient Pushkarini (Stepped well), the water from which is currently used by the villagers.

A large number of devotees have faith in this goddess. Devotees from far and wide come here to visit and take vows. A grand festival of Goddess is celebrated here on Navratri. Outside the temple there are old half bust idols of three goddesses. Khoklu Devi, Kharju Devi, Gulma Devi. These goddesses are worshiped when coughs and scabies appear on the body.
