Instituted 31 August 1913 by Duke Ernst II of Saxe Altenburg, Duke Georg II of Saxe Meiningen, and Duke Carl Eduard of Saxe Coburg and Gotha. (1913 1918 issue). Constructed of gilded copper, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse with a central medallion bearing a raised Saxon coat of arms, the reverse with a
